Good Impact Cycling on EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail

jeudi 19 février 2026
Combine the great adventure of a long-distance cycling journey with service, safety, sustainability and real positive impact. This is all possible along EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail, with exciting new tour packages that take care of both your experience and the regions crossed by the route.

Extending for more than 10,000 km, EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail is one of the longest long-distance cycling routes in Europe. But it is much more than that: its mission – to connect countries and people on both sides of the former Iron Curtain through cycling tourism – makes it one of the most meaningful routes, especially in today’s world.

You can now go on holiday on selected sections of EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail with Good Impact Cycling packages, designed to provide you with a safe and, above all, sustainable cycling experience. All these is made possible by the ICTr-CE project, co-funded by the Interreg Central Europe programme by the European Commission.

Good Impact Cycling

Good Impact Cycling offers carefully designed cycling packages that create unforgettable impressions of nature, culture, and local communities along the route. At the same time, for the first time, the impact of your journey – both positive and negative – is transparently measured. This is done through your personal sustainability score, which includes your carbon footprint as well as the social and economic effects of your trip, calculated using the innovative Impact Measurement System.

Good Impact Cycling follows the principles of regenerative tourism, going beyond sustainability. The goal is not only to protect destinations, but to actively improve and strengthen them. To achieve this, the gap between the “ideal cycling trip” and your actual journey is closed through a clearly calculated sustainability contribution. This contribution is always shown separately, but is already included in the total travel price.

Good Impact Program

Your contribution goes directly into the Good Impact Program, which supports carefully selected environmental and social projects along EuroVelo 13 – Iron Curtain Trail. Step by step, the regions along this fascinating long-distance route are strengthened both ecologically and socially and developed into a flagship destination for regenerative cycling tourism.

The Good Impact Program is managed by the EuroVelo 13 Partnership. On the official page of EuroVelo 13, you will be regularly informed about the projects being supported.
